Resumo: O princípio da osteointegração é clinicamente aplicado em ambos os maxilares à cerca de 40 anos. O conceito de função imediata utilizando implantes do sistema Brånemark®, é uma alternativa em reabilitações totais fixas de pacientes desdentados, com elevadas taxas de sucesso.
O objectivo deste artigo é demonstrar uma abordagem diferente de reabilitação em pacientes desdentados totais, assente num protocolo de função imediata, com base em 10 implantes do sistema Brånemark® suportando duas próteses fixas – Conceito “All-on-Ten”.
